Standards
SSG and SIS
Standards that provide guidance on how to label pipelines, valves, pumps, safety equipment and containers to identify their contents and the risks associated with them.
A company's internal standard
An internal standard deals with and contains information on how the marking of pipes, pumps, tanks and other equipment should be designed/structured, what materials and information should be indicated.

Process labeling
There are no regulatory requirements for signs (process labeling) describing ex, positions, flows from and to etc,. However, process labeling is a part of the labeling that is invaluable to all staff working in the business. The labeling is an aid in continuous supervision, process understanding, introduction of new employees, troubleshooting and facilitates safe breaking and locking work in connection with maintenance.
To minimize costs and simplify the work, we recommend that you carry out this process marking at the same time as you carry out the statutory marking.
Companies where we have been involved in developing internal standards include Northvolt and Aditya Birla.
SSG
Standards, recommendations and guidance based on industry experience.
SSG Standards provide you with guidance, recommendations and best practice solutions to help you build and maintain a reliable, efficient and economically sustainable industrial facility.
SSG Standards provide you with guidance, recommendations and best practice solutions to help you build and maintain a reliable, efficient and economically sustainable industrial facility.
The standard also covers the signage of areas, premises and enclosures where large quantities of hazardous chemical products are handled, as well as connections at loading and unloading points.

SIS
The standard covers the labeling of chemical hazards according to AFS 2014:43 [1] and hazardous chemical products according to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008 [2]), except for explosive substances, mixtures and articles and organic peroxides Type A and self-reactive substances and mixtures Type A.
Labeling according to this standard provides information about the contents of the installation to draw attention to the risks associated with it.
This standard does not specify requirements or needs for signs or markings informing about the installation itself, for example about inspection intervals.
Labeling of pipelines for medical and medical device gases is not covered by this standard.
